Measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)
at the venue

To help ensure the safety of participants at the Automotive Engineering Expositions, measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) are being implemented based on the guidelines issued by the Japan Exhibition Association.

The main measures are as follows

  • Temperature checks at entrances

    Temperature checks at entrances
    The temperature of all participants will be checked at the entrances to the venues.
    Only those with normal temperatures will be allowed to enter and exit the venues.
  • Provision of hand sanitizer at entrances

    Provision of hand sanitizer at entrances
    As well as providing alcohol hand sanitizer at the entrances, we will thoroughly disinfect locations that may be touched by customers.
  • Management of maximum capacities
    and visitor limits

    Management of maximum capacities and visitor limits
    This year’s Exposition will strictly comply with the capacity limits specified in the guidelines prepared by PACIFICO Yokohama and Portmesse Nagoya.
  • All visitors must register in advance

    All visitors must register in advance
    To avoid congestion before entering the venue, registrations will not be accepted on the day.
  • Mandatory mask wearing by exhibitors

    All staff that move in and out of the venues will be required to wear a mask.
  • Regular disinfecting of venues

    Venues will be disinfected on a regular basis.
  • Constant ventilation by keeping doors open
    and through air conditioning

    Constant ventilation by keeping doors open and through air conditioning
    To improve ventilation within the venues, air will be constantly circulated into the venues from the outside via the air conditioning and ventilation equipment.
  • Social distancing


    Social distancing
    Lines will be managed to ensure a proper distance between people.
    Chairs in presentation venues, break rooms, and the like will be spaced apart from each other.

To help create a safer environment for the expositions, all visitors are asked to read the Requests for Visitors and help to prevent the spread of infection.

Requests to Visitors

To help create and maintain a safer environment, we ask all visitors to cooperate thoroughly with the following measures.

  • People with the following symptoms are asked not to come to the venues.

    People with a temperature of 37.5 degrees or higher, or a continuously elevated temperature

    People with cold or flu-like symptoms (elevated temperature, coughing, sneezing, sore throat, etc.)

    People experiencing some kind of physical abnormality (including an affected sense of taste or smell, or a strong feeling of fatigue)

    People who have been in close contact with a person infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)

    People who are infected with novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and are in a defined period of recuperation

    People who have arrived in Japan within the past 14 days from a country or region covered by the Japanese government’s entry or quarantine restrictions

  • Visitors are asked to cooperate with the temperature checks and alcohol disinfecting procedures at the entrances to the venues.

    The temperature of all participants will be checked at the entrances to the venues.
    Only those with normal temperatures will be allowed to enter and exit the venues.
    People with a temperature of 37.5 degrees or higher and people displaying symptoms of being unwell will be refused permission to enter the venues. Thank you for your understanding.

  • To help prevent the spread of infection, we ask all visitors to wear a mask, wash their hands frequently, and use hand sanitizer.

    People not wearing a mask will be refused permission to enter the venues.
    All peoplr entering and leaving the venues are required to wear masks.

  • We ask visitors to cooperate as far as possible with measures to halt and prevent the spread of infection, such as social distancing in lines and when entering or leaving venues.
  • Please refrain from holding long meetings in venues that may become crowded.

    Please refrain from talking or calling out in a loud voice during meetings, and keep a distance of at least 1 meter (2 meters whenever possible) from other people.
    Masks may only be removed while eating or drinking. Masks must be worn while speaking.

  • Please register with the close contact notification service.

    Please install the (COVID-19) contact-confirming app COCOA that enables you to receive notifications about possible contacts with people infected with the novel coronavirus.
